The Sicily Collection

People ask about my editing more than anything else, so here it is. Ten presets, the same ones I use on my own photographs of Sicily. They were built here, on this light: limestone at four in the afternoon, the sea off Ortigia, an olive orchard going silver in the wind. Nothing neon, nothing that makes a place look like somewhere it is not. Mostly they hold the warmth in old walls and let the water stay the color it actually is.

Every one below is shown on a real photograph, untouched on the left, edited on the right, so you can see exactly what you are buying before you buy it.

Alba

Early light, before the heat arrives. Cool and pale, contrast held back, the sky left soft.

Azzurro

Made for water. Deepens the blues and greens of the sea without tipping them into neon.

Limone

Warm gold across plaster. For the hour when a narrow street turns the color of a lemon peel.

Mandorla

Soft cream and blush, gentle contrast. Kind to pale facades, and kind to skin.

Ombra

Black and white for the middle of the day, when the shadows are hard and the color is doing nothing for you.

Pietra

Quiet stone tones, saturation pulled down, texture left alone. For old walls and ruins.

Sole

Open daylight, clean and bright. The everyday edit, for wide sky and full sun.

Terracotta

Clay and deep green together. For courtyards, gardens, and anything growing out of dry ground.

Tramonto

The blue that arrives at the end of the day, with the last of the warmth still sitting in the stone.

Ulivo

Silvered greens, muted and dusty. Built in the orchard, for trees, herbs, and long grass.

Where they work

Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop through Camera Raw, and the free Lightroom app on Android.

A quick note about phones

These are .xmp presets, and they work everywhere Lightroom does, including the free app on your phone. On any paid Adobe plan they sync from desktop on their own. On the free app you import them right on the phone, and your download page also includes a DNG version of every preset as a second route for older app versions, with simple instructions for both.
